SOHO - 1985-86
2214 Second Ave
Restaurant reviewer Jean Godden, described the brand-new restaurant SoHo in her review for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, published January 14, 1984: "SoHo is one of a growing number of enterprises that combine business operations. SoHo sells pasta and ponchos, pate and paintings. The place has an arty aura, not unlike its London namesake. The building, built in 1908 to house a garage, accommodates a clothing shop, a mirrored bar, and an airy dining room with a skylight. ... Soho is a joint venture of Lois Pierris and Randall Blue. Blue is the imaginative artist of the kitchen"
Owner Lois Pierris was also co-owner of B&O Espresso on Capitol Hill, Serafina on Eastlake, and Ristorante Pony on Queen Anne. She later went on to run Lulu's (421 Second Ave S., which was in business from 2001 to 2003.
